MS Office file will not save or Word or Excel will not open

Sometimes an Office app won't open (usually Word, Excel or Access) or a file won't save or will ask to "Save As" even though the file existed prior to editing. Close the app that has the problem and look in the directory that you are trying to save in. Look for any temp files usually looks like $dnksl.doc or something like that. Delete that file. It is a temporary file that was not previously deleted and is causing the problem. Opening, editing and saving the file will work after that.
